Chiba-Ken is a heavy rock band with nuances of metal and hardcore. We started up in 2003. The name is taken from the land east of Tokyo that is said to have mystical occurences and rare oddities.

2004 we introduced our self-titled demo, followed in 2005 with a 7-Song EP entitled “Faces of the Moment”; The band then recorded a 2006 Demo entitled “The Winter Sessions” at Jupiter 4 Studio with Ken Schalk (of Candiria) and his brother Steve. We just finished recording 2 new demos with 4 updated songs to find new management and representation.

We are trying to build a strong fan base in the New York Metro area and we've played with several notable acts including From Autumn to Ashes, BoySetsFire, Glassjaw, Powerman 5000, Kittie, Byzantine, On Broken Wings, Biology, Cartel, Sponge, Patent Pending, Big Wig

We also landed spots on two compilation CD’s including Flo Multizine Volume 10 and the soundtrack of “Too Fast, Too Extreme.” Our sponsorships include: Jagermeister, Vic Firth, Shore Athletic Apparel, and LoveNico Clothing.
